About Foolish
Foolish Adventure is an affectionate, tongue-in-cheek name to describe bucking the norm. The Internet has been commercially viable for 15 years, but still many millions of people haven’t taken the leap towards a new Online-Fueled Business for any number of reasons. Tim & the Team hope to show everyone with an interest — how to actually make that jump.
What Foolish Means — Us Vs Them
You might have people around you that will say you are being foolish especially if you have a “secure” job–if anything like that really exists.
They will tell you to not even try. They will say your dreams won’t come true. They will even trot out this guy that their friend knows who tried to build an Internet business and FAILED. They said that he had to go get another job.
What a threat! They tell you you’ll end up right back in a job so you might as well not leave a job. Think about this…
Maybe you’ll make some mistakes on this adventure and look or feel a little foolish, but you won’t have to face those times alone.
We are here to help you get over feeling foolish (with a small ‘f’) and start feeling Foolish.
To be Foolish, you accept that if you want your dreams to come true that you have turn them into goals that you can work towards.
You accept that there isn’t “Instant Wealth” or “Push-Button Success.” You understand that any Internet Business training can’t make you successful by simply purchasing it — no matter how much the “gurus” hype their “Secret Formula Blueprint System.”
The Foolish know that an Internet business is still a business that requires…dare I say it, “WORK!”
Who Are The Foolish
The Foolish are made up of people who have dreams and desires that their job — or any job, can’t fulfill. So far, the Foolish, has been made up mostly of men and women who have been around the “career track” a time or two. And no matter how fast they run the track, they still don’t have time for their kids or significant other.
No matter how hard they run around the track, the bills are barely getting paid…
They find this version of life unacceptable.
There are some Foolish who are just starting out and they look at the way the world has been running and say, “Not for me!”
Tim Teaches T.I.M.
The Foolish want, what I call, T.I.M.
They don’t want me. They want Time, Income and Mobility.
The Foolish want a business that gives them the Time Freedom to do what they want.
They want a business that gives them the Income Freedom to afford a lifestyle they find fulfilling.
They want a business that gives them the Mobility Freedom to be where they want.
Honestly, they don’t want a business. What they want is a purposeful, fulfilling life that even the best of jobs seldom provide.
What About Adventure
Some people have said that The Foolish Adventure Show name is misleading. The show, nor does this site, talk about extreme sports or backpacking around Southeast Asia or sailing around the world. You know, like real adventures.
Here at Foolish, we believe the grandest adventure is life. It’s short and full of exciting possibilities. The act of making your dreams come true — no matter what they are — is an amazing adventure.
We also believe that taking control of your Time, Income and Mobility is a big enough adventure to talk about.
If you think so too, then The Foolish Adventure Show is a great place to start your Foolish Adventure.
If you want even more guidance — an Adventure Map, then join us over at Foolish University. Where we provide business training, coaching and support.
About Tim Conley

I’m a marketing consultant. I have been creating marketing strategies and systems for other businesses for over 13 years.
I say marketing and not Internet marketing because I focus on what will work for a business. Sometimes that means doing a direct mail campaign. Sometimes it means driving magazine readers to a website.
But one thing I have been telling clients for years is that they can’t ignore the Internet. Even with all the offline, Bricks-and-Mortar experience that I have, I believe the easiest and most profitable place for a person to start a business is on the Internet.
Foolish was started as a platform for me to share my knowledge and experience with anyone who wants to build a successful business.

About Lain Ehmann
I’m a fast-talking, fast-acting human dynamo with three kids, an awesome husband, and a lot of random facts — some useful, some not! — packed into one 5’4″ package.
When you meet me, you’ll probably remember my smile and my laugh – and my inability to sit still for longer than 10 minutes.
That physical and mental ADD has served me well. I’ve made the jump from public sector to private, and from employed to unemployable, now that I’ve been working for myself for over a decade. Most recently, I have created a few rockin’ projects in the scrapbooking industry, where I took a brand-new blog to over six figures in 18 months. Cool, eh? I produce large-scale, live, online events; I run a membership site, and I write, write, write. Oh, and I talk. A lot. Podcasts, videos, and to myself. Maybe I should get a dog.
I have a lot of thoughts and opinions, and my Myers-Briggs personality profile probably says it best: “The ENTJ is often right… and knows it.”
You may not agree with everything (or anything!) I say, but I bet you’ll enjoy the ride.
P.S. Oh, you wanted the resume version? That’s kinda boring, but here you go:
- BA from Stanford in Public Policy
- MPA from Syracuse in Public Administration
- Entrusted with hundreds of millions in funds as I managed the transportation and public works budget for the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Wrote over 1000 articles and interviewed everyone from John Gray to Seth Godin for a variety of magazines and newspapers
- Co-founded Ella Publishing Company
- Produces premiere LIVE online virtual events for the crafting industry under the True Scrap brand
- Wrote several books, some even published!
- Throws right, bats left
- Bowls 123
