Do Impossible Things With Joel Runyon – FA102

In this episode we are joined by a man who does the impossible, Joel Runyon of ImpossibleHQ.com, who is here to help us achieve the impossible in our own lives.

Joel uses his story of how he went from being laid off from a temporary, part-time job at UPS to a well-paid marketing director and then on to running Impossible HQ and his own marketing agency.

This is an episode that you can use as a roadmap to determine the life you want to live and get the skills to live it.

Turn your life into a movie you’d love to watch.

Dude, these types of interviews are why I listen to your podcast. Thank you so much for putting this out there. Mixergy is generally my preferred source of interviews but lately I’ve felt very out of touch with the interviewers. The type of people on Mixergy tend to be the hyper-ambitious, born-entrepreneurers who started their first businesses when they were kids. Although I’ve had plenty of entrepreneurial “moments” in my life, I never realized my burning passion for it until I got my first real job out of college and fell into the life of quiet desperation. I’ve been out of school for less than two years and I’m already fed up with the supposed real world.

There are many narratives in the entrepreneurial lifestyle. I tend to relate mostly with the narrative that involves breaking out of a soul-sucking corporate job. Those types of stories are the most inspiring to me because they give me hope that I will one day be able to say goodbye to the corporate lifestyle.

    Frank,
I’m glad you got a lot out of this episode. I thought Joel was awesome, too. He really shows how what seems impossible isn’t.

The fastest way out of a soul-sucking job is to take a couple hours a day to learn a highly valuable skill. Then learn how to express that skill to a small group who need it (marketing).

Good luck and keep me informed of your progress.
