How To Build A Minimum Viable Business – FA062

We’ve talked about the Minimum Viable Product, but now we take it up a notch.

This is also the minimum viable post — just enough to give you the episode.

Okay, there is no way I could just write a couple of sentences…

This episode combines several topics that we have talked about in the past. The first being the minimum viable product (MVP), the idea of good enough, taking action and iteration — changing things as they are needed.

The main reason we did this episode is to remove any confusion to whether a product is a business and to get you to a sustainable business as fast as possible.

Enjoy…

OMG, guys…I’m not even two minutes in yet, and I just snorked coffee at Tim’s ridiculously low standards comment.  This is why I heart you guys — learning, with a side of coffee-snorting humor.

    Another great episode.

The tip about your wife getting away from everything to write hr novel is great.  My family owns and operates a retreat facility in KY, and we see authors and other people coming through during week days all the time who just want to get away and write without distraction.  www.OasisChristianCenter.com if you care to know.  If not, feel free to delete the link part out.

Another great episode with some great banter and a conversation that flows just like the good old days :) Keep ‘em coming guys.  I loved the way Tim ended the episode too–it was the minimum viable point to end the episode :)

Here’s a question for you as a possible question to answer/topic in an upcoming episode: If you have a product that’s out there and selling well (but with plenty more market share that you could be getting), should you (A) market it more; or (B) create another product? Obviously doing both is key, but I, like Izzy, feel better when I am focusing on one thing at a time. Would love to hear your thoughts on this some time.

I would recommend selling the bejeebus out of a product that is selling well and then start on another product to sell to those buyers. And then another and another…

    Thanks for the feedback, Tim.
