How To Source Products In China With Matt Kowalak – FA103

Getting A Product Manufactured Doesn’t Have To Be Scary

Matt Kowalak, a TMBA startup attendee, sat down with me to talk about sourcing products in China. He’s been there for 8 years helping companies navigate the complex waters of product manufacturing.

In this episode, Matt shares his experience and gives some great tips on how to avoid making big mistakes.

I know this isn’t the typical show topic, but I found Matt and his company very interesting and hope you do too. It’s a story of a Midwest boy who sought adventure and became a pioneer in the new frontier of doing business in China. I’d say that’s Foolish Adventure material.

Enjoy your Foolish Adventure,

Tim

Great subject. I’m really interested in Chine. I have an idea for a product I’d like to bring to market but it’s in the future. Still nice to learn about the process.

Hmmmm….Outsourcing to China? You just lost me.

Not Outsourcing, but Sourcing. This episode is about finding or manufacturing products in China to sell to your market.

From what I’ve been learning there’s nothing like having boots on the ground to get through the complex labyrinth of sourcing products and cutting deals. My friends, Ian and Dan, visit their people in China periodically to make sure things are still running as planned.
