Great show, today. Loved hearing the two of you together again. Glad to hear you’re enjoying your foolish adventure, Izzy.

Hahaha,,,  Izzy you were killin’ me with your filmmaking experiences… Especially the part where you said, “I’m 39 years old…and I felt like I just worked construction”.   I’m 65 and I know I can only work a few days on set, in a row, like that now.  That’s why I now have more PA’s helping out!!!

First of all, congratulations on reaching episode 100. That’s no easy task.
Was great to have the original team back for a lot of light hearted banter.

I think the most important thing I took from this episode is even though Izzy’s plans and intentions changed, he’s living life on his terms and not someone else’s.

With so many of us, things in our lives are dictated to us. When we can take vacation, what hours we work etc. By being foolish, Izzy has given himself the freedom that most of us want to have.

Izzy, the point isn’t that you shouldn’t send people their password in an email, it’s that you shouldn’t store their password in plain text. This has been bad practice for at least a decade now. If someone ever hacks your website they can get the password for all of your users and with people being lazy they probably have their password for other sites too.

When people ask for their password you should be sending them a new password. In the renewal email you can include a link to allow them to reset their password.

Great to hear you again Izzy!! Congrats Tim on 100 episodes!

I just finished $100 Start-up a few days ago and had the same reaction you described… up all night with ideas churning and loved his endorsement of the one-person micro-business. Now off to download the other book you mentioned… thanks for the suggestion. I’m always in the market for another great biz book… :)

Even if you store the password encrypted, you need to choose the hashing method carefully, and a straight md5 with out a salt is a no-no.

LinkedIn did that… and they are making the news today…
