Invest In Yourself – FA058

How Advice From A Roman Emperor Can Make You Successful Today

I’m about to show some of my nerd cred here — for pleasure reading I will, on occasion, read ancient Greek philosophy and sometimes this reading takes place on a Friday or Saturday night.

What’s a night out compared reading the teachings that were foundational to Western culture? Right? No? Okay, so maybe it’s just me.

In this episode of Foolish Adventure, Izzy and I converse about an idea sparked from reading the Thoughts of Marcus Aurelius. I won’t go into his history here as to not bore you any further than I have.

The inspiration, a muse, you might say, that came from my reading was how from a young age Aurelius invested in himself. He invested in his education, his work and his relationships, which turned him into one of the most successful Roman Emperors.

Join us in this ancient conversation about investing in oneself so that you can be a success today.

Enjoy your Foolish Philosophy,

Tim

PS. For some reason the audio from me was messed up and I sounded like I was talking in a tunnel. Sorry about that. We’ll make sure my audio sounds great next time.

Another great show, guys. Alright, I will finally order that MJ Demarco book :) Actually, I had to pause your show during my commute to muse over the whole, “Consumers vs Producers” idea. So simple but it did something to my brain. Something good! It was a bit of an ahha moment. Thanks, as always, and keep it up! This was a great episode.
