Succeeding Online With Internet Business Mastery’s Sterling And Jay – FA101

How To Succeed Online With The Godfathers of Internet Business Podcasting

A long-time favorite podcast of mine is Internet Business Mastery. I’ve been listening to Sterling and Jay since the nearly the beginning of their podcast almost 7 years ago. That is some serious longevity in the Internet world.

In this episode, Sterling, Jay and I discuss what it really takes to start, grow and manage a niche online business.

This show has a lot of excellent advice especially about outsourcing and success mindset. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it.

Enjoy your Foolish Adventure,

Tim

The info about the procedures manual etc before outsourcing is GOLD, seriously people you NEEED to write stuff down. When I did that my assistant was so so much more efficient :)

Wonderful show guys! I think the challenge brought up at the end of the show, to get ppl to $$ online as fast as possible as a means of creating a watershed moment is an awesome one. I’m very interested to see what you identify here. If somebody pushed me to do this I guess I’d say the closest thing is AdsenseFlippers, where you spend a little bit of money to buy an operational cashflowing concept and then immediately start to improve the site and your profits.

    Anyway, great EP.

    Dan,

Thanks. The model we are working on definitely shares some similarities with AdsenseFlippers. The key is knowing how to create those kinds of sites with an eye on the future.

  • Jason “Jay” Van Orden

Totally! It seems like such a time suck. But if you look at it as an investment, the ROI is huge.

Yeah, it’s money sites up fast, traffic generation fast, and money as fast as possible while no scrimping on quality at all.  We are going to more target monthly income rather then quickly selling the site though.

Wow. Great episode. I’m listening a second time to pick up what I missed the first time through. Key take-away after the first listen: Systemize and document.

Yeah, this is definitely an episode for note taking.

Here’s the theme that we use for the WordPress site that houses our “operations manual” with all the business procedures.

That’s cool! At University I teach a unit where students had to make their own knowlege base/wiki with Web 2.0 tools, great to know there’s a specific theme for it.

Terrific episode. Love that their tips can truly be used for on and offline businesses. Loved it!
