Really going to miss the friendly banter between you two. Certainly had great chemistry that really made the show a joy to listen to.

I have no doubt that the show will continue to thrive.

Also excited that Izzy is going to crank up Izzy Video another notch! Been enjoying the FCPX tutorials.

So this is sort of the best of both worlds for me. Foolish Adventure expanding in some new directions and Izzy Video.

Good luck to both of you!!!

Oh I felt this coming after the Digishow ‘breakup’ lol :) but wow Tim I’m so glad that you are continuing!

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Thanks Kevin.  I will do my best to make Foolish even better.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Thanks Melissa.  Izzy and I hinted at this several times, but felt the time was right for Izzy to focus on IzzyVideo and for me to grow Foolish.

  • http://blog.mshanhun.com Melissa

Oh and all the best for the homeschooling!

  • http://bulanetwork.com/blog Randy Cantrell

Best of luck to you both. I’m not a member, but I’ve enjoyed listening to you guys! Thanks.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Thanks Randy. I hope you and all the other listeners will continue enjoying the shows I’ve got planned.

This is like Hall & Oates breaking up!!!  Not unexpected but I look forward to what Tim will bring us.

Tim and Izzy…  I didn’t get a chance to read your Wednesday email message about the “big announcement” until late Wednesday night…  but the excitement prompted me to get up extra early today and immediately check the site, just to listen to the broadcast.

[BTW, Tim... hated missing office hours last night, but my kid had football practice]Along with everyone else here, I’ll certainly miss the informative interaction between you guys, but totally respect your decisions to each focus on the separate paths your passions have led to. This past year seems to have been a great learning experience not only for your listeners, but also for both of you, and now you’re each at a point where you can use that experience as a foundation to forge ahead.  That’s a very cool thing, and as a Foolish U member and an Izzy Video member, I’m excited at what lie’s ahead for each program. But I also have to tell you…  even in this last “breakup” episode, you both continue to teach. One of the issues I’ve been struggling with the past 6 months, and probably even before that, has been wanting to “do” too many different things instead of focusing on what is potentially “the most important” thing and market to make my business successful. Last week I made some business changes to finally narrow my focus, just as you both have done, and today’s show was a confirmation (to me) that I made the right decision. Thanks for that….  And the best of luck to both of you. I’ll certainly be watching both programs with excitement and anticipation.

Hey… sorry the paragraphs somehow got all bunched together into one when I posted. Makes for a hard read!!!

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

    I fixed it for you.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

John, I’m looking forward to seeing where you take your business. Glad you found your focus.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Hall and Oates?!! Really? Not Simon and Garfunkel? Or Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings?

Hate to see you go Izzy.  Your final comment was great.  I wrote it down so I can keep it on my desk while working and commit it to memory.  Thanks for all you do.  Looking forward to the new season of Foolish Adventure with Tim and friends.

To see Izzy go is a tuff, tuff pill to swallow. He has a super personality and such valuable insight. However I don’t think there’s a spec of doubt that Tim’s going to blow the door off the hinges. Hi-Five Tim, this new direction is going to be a blast!

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

I hate to see Izzy go, too. But this change should prove best for Izzy and I hope I can continue to make Foolish grow.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I’ll miss Izzy’s personality on the show, too. Hopefully, the guests I bring on will bring great personalities and insights too.

Great send off Izzy. This show has been a big part of my life for the past year, thanks for putting so much effort in to it. I’m looking forward to what Tim does with the program.

Oh, this is huge news, leaving me with such mixed feelings.  So happy for you both (Izzy and Tim) in the next phase of your adventures.  But, sorry to miss the fun…well, as Kevin put it…”chemistry.”  All the best to you both!

One more thought, I love FA and the University, Paperclipping, and Izzy Video and I’m super psyched for the added focus on all of them — totally a gift to us viewers/members!

    Thanks Izzy and Tim!

Hi, since I listen on the go- driving, etc to the podcast and miss some details. Is there a written transcript? How about a list of the websites and books you guys recommended for your listeners.

  • Tom Wachowski

A new chapter for Foolish Adventure – looking forward to it (but will miss you, Izzy)!  Bring it Tim Conley!  :)

    Tom

  • Charlotte Plott

I will miss you Izzy – you definitely are one of the people I’ve met that I will always remember. Let me know when you write a book.  I had heard the quote before and believe it to be true also – people you meet and books you’ve read -do  make an impact on our lives.  Also people who share their Foolish Adventures with us!  It was a great ride!

Thank you for all you have added to the Foolish Adventure.  You two were a great team.  Good luck to you both.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

I’m working on the bringing. :-)

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Having transcripts is something I’m considering even for the older episodes since they have some gems I would like to publish in book format. I’ve got a ton on my plate with the transition, but hope to be on this soon.

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

FA is going to be like the start of a whole new show since I have to learn how to be a host. It may take me a while to get close to how good Izzy was as the host, but I will do my best. I may even look for a co-host. Maybe.

Tragic! The end of an era!

Izzy, good for you–hard decisions! You will be missed.

Tim, I look forward to where you’re going to take the show next.

  • http://www.therawtarian.com Laura-Jane the Rawtarian

To me this is right up there with the end of Seinfeld :)

  • Raintrader

Sad to see Izzy go. In the past i was wondering how you guys could manage it to do such a great Thing beside your other buiseness . Its good to see that also “the Gurus” are able to “let go ” and to focus on whats elementary.
Maybe the biggest Lesson to be learned.

Looking forward to See the great stuff both of you will produce.

    Cheers from a German

  • http://FoolishAdventure.com Tim Conley

Focus is definitely key to success for all businesses. And taking on more than you can handle is a sure way to mess things up.

  • http://16x9cinema.com Carl Olson

I don’t think it’s so much a matter as “how good Izzy was as the host” – which he was. It’s more about being yourself, being natural. I think you’ll do fine. I’ve done my own podcast now for the last year and a half… at first was quite nervous and had difficulty getting all the butterflies in my stomach to fly in formation. Nowadays, it’s a bit easier as I’ve become more comfortable with the mic and talking to people a whole lot smarter than I. Doing my own podcast has been the best learning vehicle ever. I have an archive of over 60 hours of personal one-on-one Q&A. That’s priceless! Of course, I’ve learned a lot from listening to other podcasts, including FA.
